Balfour Castle
The house of Cliffdale on Shapinsay was extended in 1867 to designs by David Bryce to form one of the earliest examples of the Scots Baronial style. It has survived in astonishingly original condition: including the wallpaper pictured in the drawing room below.
This original architect's model also remains at the house.
